April started dancing at the age of 6 and competitively at the age of 10 in the Southern Tier area. She had teachers that fostered her love for dance which is one of the reasons she became a dance teacher to share her passion with children every day.

 

April opened HF-L Dance Centre in Honeoye Falls NY in 2009 as well as Idols Dance Company in Pittsford NY in 2017. She has won numerous choreography awards as well as numerous other accolades. She has also choreographed for local musicals several times in the last decade while teaching at and directing both studio locations.

April is certified through Dance Masters of America, Acrobatic Arts, and Progressing Ballet Technique. She has traveled to continue her dance education and taken classes with Kaelyn Gray, Derrick Schrader, Drew Burgess, Jackie Sleight, Rennie Gold, Thelma Goldberg, Francisco Gella, Brooke Pierotti, Tom Ralabate, Beth Waddell, Barb Denny, Jonette Loncos, Melanie Aceto, Ginny Durow, Megan Nicko, and Vickie Fletcher.

April enjoys working with dancers of all ages and is so excited to dance with your dancer. While not teaching dance April enjoys spending time with her three children, Anthony, Nico and Giada.
